Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad/Grammy and Grandpa/GG and GGpa

49 years ago, the Murphy Family began.
Aren't we all go grateful.
We celebrated with Grammy and Grandpa tonight. We were able to see pictures and hear stories about their wedding day. We are grateful for their love and for their wonderful example of an eternal marriage. Grammy commented that how funny it is that they are "almost" to forever.
She shared a few thoughts about marriage that she and grandpa have learned over the years.
1. Marriage gets better with each passing year.
2. A good marriage takes work.
3. We learn to love deeper as we serve each other and with each other.
Here is to...forever! We LOVE you!

Last Sunday, we got to be together for a family dinner. It was so nice to be with Grammy and Grandpa again. Skyler summed it up when he walked in, put his arms around Grammy and said, " I missed you so much!". Now that we are all scatted, I think we all feel that way about our far away family. Now, at least we can see what is going on in eachother's lives. It will make us all seem not so far away! Anyway, we had a wonderful meal and a wonderful time together!
The released ones. The do look a little more relaxed, don't they? UNcle Jeff said that he took a nap on a Sunday for the first time in 6 years!

The spread... well, part of it!

Little Corey is 6'4""!
"G.G" (great-grammy) entertaining as always!

The New Family Blog

Thanks to Lisa, who is the author of a successful and fun blog of her own, we have decided that the best way to keep our family in touch with each other is to join the cyber generation and start our own family blog! At least the younger members of the family will be able to keep it going for us oldsters!

Please write as often as you can and keep us all posted with the latest news and photos from your family - there is no one more important to us than each of you, so flood our blog with all that is going on at your house.

Lisa suggests that we each email her a recent photo of your family, and she will post it to our blog page, as part of our home page. Sound good?

Just to update everyone, Dad and I have begun our training in the L.A. Temple. We had two meetings with members of the present Tmeple Presidency this past week, with more to come in the week ahead. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, the 28th. That day there is a group - or a mob, who knows which - from the LA Gay community coming to meet with the Presidency of the temple and present a petition - I guess for acceptance. We will let you know how that goes.

We have seen our new digs there, and we are located in a condo across Ohio Street (the street behind the temple), but within walking distance for us. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and plenty of sitting room, so come see us in our new digs! We will begin moving in this coming week. We begin our service on next Saturday, November 1! We are hoping that someone there will know what we are supposed to be doing! I guess we're not supposed to hope that no one wants to come to the temple on that day? We hope that you will remember us in your prayers. We always keep you in ours. We love you - each one - and count you among our greatest blessings.
